Ceramic Now Magazine, features Fiat Ignis III: Let There Be Fire Show with new work by Frank Olt

We’re pleased to share that Ceramics Now Magazine has published a feature on Fiat Ignis III: Let There Be Fire, the recent group exhibition at Gallery 60 NYC — which includes several of Frank Olt’s newest ceramic works.

The exhibition, presented in collaboration with the New England Wood Firing Conference, brings together twelve artists whose practices engage deeply with the time-intensive and communal process of wood firing. The article reflects on themes of material honesty, collaboration, patience, and the unique surfaces shaped by flame, ash, and chance.

Frank’s work is presented alongside artists including Pascal Chmelar, Gabriel Cordero, Mandy Henson, Shinobu Habauchi, Kiichi Takeuchi, Trevor Youngberg, and others — emphasizing the shared energy and spirit of the firing process.
