250 Years of Art on Long Island
Ceramic artist Frank Olt is currently featured in the major exhibition “250 Years of Art on Long Island,” on view from March 21 through July 12, 2026. The exhibition celebrates America’s 250th anniversary by tracing the evolution of artistic production across Long Island, highlighting its deep influence on American art history.
Frank Olt presents five new works in the exhibition, combining ceramic and glass in his distinctive sculptural language. These pieces contribute a contemporary voice to a sweeping historical narrative that spans from early American portraiture and folk traditions to Impressionism, Abstract Expressionism, and Pop Art.

The exhibition brings together paintings, decorative arts, and historical objects in immersive installations, emphasizing Long Island’s unique role as both subject and incubator for generations of artists—from Brooklyn to Montauk.
